Stoy Joins Union State Bank

Eric Kurtz, President and CEO of Union State Bank (“USB”), headquartered in Arkansas City, Kansas, announced that Zack Stoy has joined the Arkansas City, Kansas branch as Vice President / Loan Officer.

“Union State Bank is a forward-thinking organization and does an outstanding job of being progressive while still maintaining the “community” bank atmosphere,” said Stoy. “I’m excited to now be a part of it.”

With fifteen years of experience in the finance industry, Stoy will assist USB’s commercial and consumer customers with both deposit and loan needs.

“We’re excited to welcome Zack to the Union State Bank team,” said Brittany Welch, Executive Vice President for Union State Bank and Chief Credit Officer. “As an experienced banker he will be assisting customers with commercial and mortgage loans in the Ark City market, delivering the service our customers have come to expect.”

Stoy received his undergraduate degree at Wichita State University and completed his MBA through Southwestern College before entering into the banking industry. Most of Stoy’s career has been within the Cowley County area.

“I’m a hometown boy, born and raised in Ark City,” said Stoy. “The best part of being a banker in my hometown is engaging with customers and building long-lasting relationships that are built from trust and respect.”

In his free time Stoy enjoys golf, “tinkering” in his shop, and spending time with his wife, Miriam and their blended family of four children who range in age from twenty to five years old. Stoy also remains active by giving back within his community.

“I’m currently a member of The Rotary Club of Arkansas City and serving on the Rotary Board of Directors.  I’m an active member of the Legacy Foundation’s board of directors, currently serving as Board Chairman.  I also chair Legacy’s Executive Board and am a member of Legacy’s finance committee,” said Stoy.
